It is almost 101 years since the formation of Oughterside & District Brass Band. Today it is still going but needs new members. If you can play a brass instrument get in touch with the band master or the webmaster and help keep this village band goin for another 100 years. On this site I shall portray the stories of it's members, share old photographs and rekindle some memories for many people. It is for the use of band members past and present, and villagers of Oughterside and Prospect. Just tell me your stories for inclusion on the site. New Band Room Required
Can anyone help with providing a new band room for Oughterside Band to practice in. A former mission hut is the home of Oughterside Band at the moment,and needs replacing badly. Funds are needed to buy a new Band Room.
